Negeri Sembilan, means “nine states," because it once consisted of nine separate districts, each ruled by a Malay Chieftain. Seremban, its capital, is well connected by road and rail to Kuala Lumpur, which is only 31.06 miles away. Negeri Sembilan is noted for its strong Minangkabau influences, which are evident in its kampung houses and official buildings.

kraft Cultural Handicraft Complex

The Cultural Handicraft Complex is  located on a 0.015 sq mile site along Jalan Labu, Seremban, and displays some of the state's finest cultural and traditional handicrafts, cultural performances and demonstrations of traditional crafts and games.

Seri Menanti Palace

The Seri Menanti Royal Palace is a great place to reminisce Negeri Sembilan's royal heritage under one roof. The palace is located in the royal capital of Seri Menanti, about 15.5 miles east of Seremban. The 4-story timber palace's main attraction is its classic Minangkabau architecture and the traditional techniques of using neither screws nor nails for construction.

Getting there: Located in Kuala Pilah, you can get buses and long distance taxis from Seremban town.

Ulu Bendul Recreational Park

Located 15.5 miles along the Seremban-Kuala Pilah road, Ulu Bendul is a popular spot among picnickers and travelers stopping by for rest. Its natural setting amidst the forest and waterfalls on top of Angsana Hill (Bukit Angsana) makes it a favorite spot for nature lovers, campers and the like. For hikers and mountain climbers, the 2,450 ft-high Gunung Angsi offers an exhilarating challenge. For cool dips and fishing, Sungai Batang Terachi, which flows through the park, offers a welcome escape. Parking spaces and shops are readily available at the entrance.

Getting there: 35 minutes by taxi from Port Dickson and 5 minutes before the Royal Palace.
