The Malaysia Mega Sale Carnival (MMSC), the country's annual 59-day shopping spree,
will begin this year on July 5 and continue through September 1, 2008. Both locals
and visitors can expect a tantalizing shopping selection, designed to satisfy even

Organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Tourism Malaysia, and the Shopping Malaysia
Secretariat, MMSC 08, now in its ninth year, will be launched in a brand-new style --
in staggered sessions throughout the five major shopping precincts in the Klang
Valley. The Minister of Tourism, YB Dato' Sri Azalina Dato' Othmad Said will be
launching the event at participating malls from 11AM until the finale at Bukit Bintang
at 8 PM on July 5.

look forward to themed sale promotions, shopping contests, redemption programs,
carnivals, and entertainment shows.

program was first introduced, presents the "Nationwide Cardholder Usage Contest,"
with an astounding RM100,000 (approx. $30,604 USD) cash prize. Each
transaction made with a MasterCard credit, prepaid, or debit card within Malaysia
entitles the cardholder to an automatic entry to win this fantastic prize.
